Kikkerland – ICFF 2016 booth
The booth was a showcase of a design challenge that Kikkerland held for students of product design at RISD, in conjunction with The Container Store, so the challenge was to communicate the collaborative process between all three, on a budget, as well ultimately highlighting the student work as the most important focus of the booth.
As the project was done in collaboration with The Container Store, it seemed only natural to use products from TCS as the main structure. The showcase of the student work is entirely built up from clear storage boxes from TCS. The booth represents a space where ideas are being ‘produced’; the gears symbolize the process and the lightbulb as the end result: a good idea. The icons were cut and colored from foam, placed in translucent storage containers and made to appear to float within the boxes.
